The Brookside Environmental Club Needs Your Help!
As ocean temperatures drop each year, sea turtles face a dangerous condition known as “cold stun.” When the water becomes too cold too quickly, turtles can become weak and unable to dive for food, making them vulnerable to predators and other hazards.
The Sea Turtle Recovery Center at the Turtle Back Zoo works hard to rescue these turtles, warm them up, and care for them until they’re healthy enough to return to the ocean.
To support this important work, the Environmental Club will be selling bracelets, keychains, and figurines after school on Tuesday, December 16th by the Kindergarten door. Items will cost between $1-$5 dollars. All proceeds will be donated to help protect and rehabilitate cold-stunned sea turtles. Thank you for helping us make a difference.
