Super Smiles February is National Children's Dental Health Month. BPS fourth grade students learned fun facts and helpful tips from Dr. Gersch and Dr. Rossignol from Gersch Orthodontics about how to help teeth and gums stay healthy.

Game On Students from the Cranford High School Chess Club taught skills and played matches with Brookside Place School students in grades 3 - 5 at a recent clinic. The event was well attended with more than 30 elementary students signed up.
Sounds of the Season Congratulations to the BPS Band, Chorus and Strings students on an excellent winter concert and school assembly. It was wonderful to celebrate the season with music. Congratulations also to music directors Ms. Schafer, Ms. Ruiz and Ms. Witmer.
Holiday Shop Success Thank you to the BPS PTA for coordinating a wonderful holiday shop for the students. They enjoyed choosing items for their friends, family members and even their pets!
Engineering a Fun Halloween Students combined the fun of Halloween with the challenge of STEM problem solving while in their weekly library / media center classes.
Media and Makerspace Students visiting the school library media center have been enjoying the first round of makerspace centers after a lesson and checking out their weekly library books. Some of the popular centers are Magna Tiles, Zoob Builderz, and Golf Tee Art.
PJammin for Kids with Cancer The BPS community supported children and families battling cancer by participating in PJammin Day. Students and staff wore pajamas to school and more than $3,500 in donations were collected for the American Childhood Cancer Organization. Thank you to all who participated and contributed!
Fall Fest Fun! Thank you to the BPS PTA, the event volunteers and all the families who made Fall Fest so fabulous. It was an afternoon full of carnival games, contests, dancing, food and so much more.
Grade 4 Bike Rodeo The BPS PTA and the Cranford Police Department recently hosted a fun and informative Bike Rodeo for the fourth grade. Students learned important skills like managing speed and controlling turns. There was also a review of safety information such as wearing helmets and obeying rules of the road. Each participant also received a bicycle license.
